Now what

I posted the thing last Thursday I needed to post to turn my life around, getting a good response but of course getting my hopes up really high too (wasn’t quite expecting “viral,” but wanted a few more big shares than it got, there’s still time) and as always stressing out over which longtime friends haven’t acknowledged it yet and wondering why none of the people who read it before publication shared it with commentary (also, I still owe them those “I’ll write a longer reply later”). Wondering what to do next, both in terms of writing/photographing/making a project out of the decluttering/unhoarding, and actually getting the work done. I have done a few things I’m proud of, but there’s so much to do I can’t just do it in the little steps that would have been good if I’d started, oh, five years ago. If I blog or even start a whole new Instagram/Twitter about decluttering, it could be good encouragement, but it’d also be another thing I gotta do…

But that wasn’t what I meant to write about, it’s about whether to keep the daily posts here going or not, now that I’m…several days behind. Two weekend days hauling the laptop around — I desperately need a lightweight one that works with current versions of websites — without any chances to use wifi set me back. I did the daily posts as a writing exercise to build up to posting a big piece, so maybe I don’t need them now. I have so many other small daily tasks I do, I think I can drop this one that currently requires me to leave the house when I need to be in the house cleaning it, and to be honest, I spent too much money (now dwindling as I haven’t had a chance to get a job AND I have trouble with my money apps) to go places in the evening where I could use wifi, which is pretty much just craft breweries/upscale beer stores. (Or the occasional Panera or neighborhood bar.) I do have the Medium app on my phone again and maybe I could finally learn to just do short photo posts, though I don’t think that’s what anyone uses Medium for.

Anyway, thank you very much if you did read or even share the essay, and to new followers and for any feedback on here.
